Video for BenQ ZOWIE
BenQ - Zowie Europe
MG is BenQ's main production team for Europe, on location across the continent for BenQ and its esports daughter company ZOWIE.
Ten years in, nobody sends a brief any more. We get a date and a hall.
BenQ is the client, and has been for over ten years. ZOWIE is their esports daughter company, and the loudest half of what we shoot.
Neither hires us per video. We’re their main production team for Europe: the same team at every event, in their branding, already knowing the brand and the products. A freelancer per gig never builds that.
The Major came back to Cologne, and ZOWIE was on every desk
June 2026. Cologne hosted a Counter-Strike Major for the first time in a decade, run by ESL FACEIT Group, with the playoffs in the LANXESS Arena. ZOWIE was the official monitor partner: the XL2586X+ in front of every player on stage.
We worked the whole run as ZOWIE's crew, arena and concourse. This is the recap.
Downstairs, anyone could sit at the same monitor
ZOWIE put an aim challenge into the concourse: a row of seats, the same 600Hz panel the players were using upstairs, and a score to beat. It ran all day and the queue never really cleared.
That is the picture the brand actually needs. Not the product alone on a plinth: a stranger in a knitted crown finding out what the thing does.

Six months earlier, the same client with a different brief
The Budapest Major, at the end of 2025, ZOWIE again as official monitor partner. That one wanted a brand film rather than a recap. The campaign ran under Level Up As One, and the argument underneath it was that the moment everyone films is the smallest part of the story.
Everything above is the daughter company. BenQ is the client, and the reason we were there at all.
It's All About Projection
BenQ Europe took an industrial hall and filled it with the people who build things out of its projectors. Digital graffiti sprayed onto a wall with a can of light. Landscapes blended across a curved screen. Projection mapping onto model houses made for a Van Gogh exhibition. A golf simulator, an interactive table, and a rack of lenses on the way in.
Nobody stood behind a lectern. We shot the room, the demonstrations and the partner interviews, and cut the recap around them.
“We've worked with MG for over ten years now, shooting for BenQ, Zowie's mother company, long before Zowie existed. A partner like that is a real advantage: we understand each other's needs right away, so we can move fast and stay flexible.”
Let's work together
Fifteen minutes, no deck. Bring the product and we'll tell you honestly what we'd do with it.
